About us
Who we are
The National Council of Child Rights Advocates, Nigeria (NACCRAN) was established by Act of Parliament in the year 2001. A Federal Government formulated Council to serve as an umbrella body for all NGOs, CBOs, FBOs Associations and Corporate bodies that work on issues and rights of Children and women in Nigeria. The council came into existence with the cooperation of UNICEF and the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs.
NACCRAN Osun State Chapter began operation in 2008. The initiative was borne out of the need to complement efforts in combating the problems associated with the plight of children irrespective of their social background, improper growth, development and integration of values that help parents to be properly enlightened in their roles in ensuring that a sustainable policy for the child is adhered to at all levels.
NACCRAN is registered with Corporate Affairs Commission and has a permanent consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UNECSOC) since 2011.
